ABOUT

Created in March of 2018, Ponta de Anzol Filmes is an audiovisual production company based in Belo Horizonte city, Brazil. It is formed by Bruno Greco, Higor Gomes, Jacson Dias and Maick Hannder. We produce fiction and documentaries short and feature films, video clips, advertising and institutional videos. We also produce and record music shows.

BRUNO GRECO

Cinema Producer, Executive Producer and curator of film exhibitions and film clubs. He has a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from Centro Universitário UNA and Escola Livre de Cinema. He attended the Fémis Creative Production Workshop, organized by the Projeto Paradiso in partnership with the school La Fémis (France), and taught by producer Juliette Grandmont. He participated in MÁLAGA TALENTS 2020, during the 23rd Festival of Malaga. He integrates the Talents Network of Projeto Paradiso.

He is the Producer of the short film LOOPING (2019), written and directed by Maick Hannder, which received two Honorable Mentions at the XII Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, the Best Sound Award at the 8° Curta Brasília - Festival Internacional de Curta-metragem, and the Best Director and Best Soundtrack awards at GRIOT - III Festival de Cinema Negro Contemporâneo. The movie was exhibited at important brazilian festivals such as the 29º Curta Cinema- Festival Internacional de Curtas do Rio de Janeiro, 23ª Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes and the 21º FESTCURTASBH - Festival Internacional de Curtas de Belo Horizonte. In 2021, Looping was invited to the SESSÃO VITRINE 10 ANOS and was exhibited on the commercial cinema circuit in several movie theaters in Brazil. He was the Executive Producer of the short film SUPER SILVER STAR (2018), directed by Leonardo Branco and winner of the Best Short Film award at the 21º FBCU - Festival Brasileiro de Cinema Universitário, at the 8º Festival Sergipe de Audiovisual - Sercine and at the 2º Mostra Internacional de São Luís. He was the Researcher of TELL THIS TO THOSE WHO SAY WE'VE BEEN DEFEATED (2018), directed by Aiano Benfica, Camila Bastos, Cristiano Araújo and Pedro Maia de Brito, winner of the award for best short movie and best sound at the 51º Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro, best film editing at the XI Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, exhibited at the 40th Festival des 3 continents, in France, and in several national and international festivals.  He is the Producer of the short film project MOTHER OF GOLD, written and directed by Maick Hannder, contemplated at the BH nas Telas fund.

He currently produces, alongside Jacson Dias, the feature films NINJA STORM, written and directed by Higor Gomes, CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT, written and directed by Maick Hannder, and the documentary OCTOBER, by Vinicius Correia. NINJA STORM won in 2018 the Best Pitching Award at Kinoforum Labs - Do Curta ao Longa, during the 29º Curta Kinoforum - Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de São Paulo. In 2019, the project received two awards at the 10th Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting, including the Incubadora Paradiso Award, and was contemplated at the BH nas Telas fund, in the script development category. CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT, received three awards during the 10th BrLab - Laboratory of Audiovisual Projects, including the Vitrine Filmes Development Award, and was selected to the 12th Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting. OCTOBER was contemplated in the Lei Municipal de Incentivo à Cultura de Belo Horizonte 2020, and was selected to the 12th Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting. He is also the Executive Producer of the feature film UPRISING, written and directed by David Aynan and in the script development phase. The project was the winner of the Diaspora Incubator award, during the Diáspora Conecta laboratory, and was contemplated in the Jorge Portugal Award for the development of a feature film (Bahia State Secretary of Culture).

He was one of the founders of the CINEFRONTEIRA film club, winner in 2016 of the Exibe Minas Award. In the film club, he was the producer and curator of more than 30 cinema sessions between 2015 and 2018, that took place in cinema theatres, cultural centers, schools and public squares of Belo Horizonte. He is the co-author of the pedagogical booklet COMUM - FAÇA VOCÊ MESMO EM CINECLUBISMO, released at the 12º CINEOP - Mostra de Cinema de Ouro Preto-MG, and presented at the Cinemateca Capitólio, in Porto Alegre-RS. He was also the Producer and Curator of the film festival FITA - FESTIVAL ITINERANTE DO AUDIOVISUAL, in 2017. He is the General Coordinator of MOSTRA CURTAMETRALHA - CINEMA E AÇÃO, a film festival project contemplated in the BH nas Telas fund and which will have its first edition in 2022.

He is a member of API (Association of Independent Producers) and ATCIMG (Association of Independent Cinema Workers of Minas Gerais).

HIGOR GOMES

Director and screenwriter. He has a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from the Centro Universitário UNA and the Escola Livre de Cinema. He integrates the Talents Network of Projeto Paradiso.

His debut short film WATERPROOF WICK (2018) received the Zózimo Bulbul award at the 51º Festival de Brasília do Cinema Brasileiro, and the Best Film award at the 20º FESTCURTASBH - Festival Internacional de Curtas de Belo Horizonte and at the 4° MOV - Festival Internacional de Cinema Universitário de Pernambuco, besides having been exhibited at the 8º Olhar de Cinema - Festival Internacional de Cinema de Curitiba and in more than 30 festivals. In 2019 the movie was shown on pay TV by Canal Brasil channel. 

He is writing the script for his first feature film NINJA STORM, which won in 2018 the Best Pitching Award at Kinoforum Labs - Do Curta ao Longa, during the 29º Curta Kinoforum - Festival Internacional de Curtas-Metragens de São Paulo. In 2019, the project received two awards at the 10th Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting, including the Paradiso Incubator 2020, a program for the development of brazilian projects created by Projeto Paradiso. The project was also contemplated in the 2019 edition of the BH nas Telas fund, in the script development category. 

In 2018 he was a teacher at the Imagens em Movimento project, a program linked to the French Cinematheque, in which he offered cinema workshops to public school students. 

He is a member of APAN (Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals) and ABRA (Brazilian Association of Screenwriters Authors).

JACSON DIAS

Producer and curator of film exhibitions and film clubs. He has a degree in Cinema and Audiovisual from Centro Universitário UNA. 

He produced the short film INGRID (2016), directed by Maick Hannder, selected for the 44° Festival de Gramado, 27° Curta Kinoforum - Festival Internacional de Curta-metragens de São Paulo, 24° Festival Mix Brasil – de Cultura da Diversidade, 31st BFI Flare: London LGBT Film Festival and 40 more festivals in Brazil and worldwide. The movie won the SESCTV award at the 16º Goiânia Mostra Curtas and won 4 more awards at other festivals, and was show on TV by Rede Minas channel. 

He was the Production Director of the film SEVEN YEARS IN MAY (2019), directed by Affonso Uchôa, premiered at Visions Du Reel and awarded as the most innovative film at the Burning Lights International Competition. He is the Producer of the short film LOOPING (2019), written and directed by Maick Hannder, which received two Honorable Mentions at the XII Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife, the Best Sound Award at the 8° Curta Brasília - Festival Internacional de Curta-metragem, and the Best Director and Best Soundtrack awards at GRIOT - III Festival de Cinema Negro Contemporâneo. The movie was exhibited at important brazilian festivals such as the 29º Curta Cinema- Festival Internacional de Curtas do Rio de Janeiro, 23ª Mostra de Cinema de Tiradentes and the 21º FESTCURTASBH - Festival Internacional de Curtas de Belo Horizonte. In 2017 he was the curator of the film exhibition Mostra de Artes, Cultura e Diversidade at Galpão Cine Horto. Also in 2017 he was the producer and curator of the film festival FITA - Festival Itinerante do Audiovisual. In 2018 he was the producer and curator of the II Mostra Internacional Cinema em Cores, in partnership with the Secretary of Culture of the state of Minas Gerais. In 2020, he was part of the jury of the  1º Mostra Fale de Cinema Independente. In 2021 he was producer of the 1° Semana de Cinema Negro de Belo Horizonte. Also in 2021, he was part of the curatorship of the 32nd São Paulo International Short Film Festival.

He was a member of the CINEFRONTEIRA film club. In the film club, he was the producer and curator of more than 15 cinema sessions between 2017 and 2018, that took place in cinema theatres, cultural centers, schools and public squares of Belo Horizonte. He participated of the release of the pedagogical booklet COMUM - FAÇA VOCÊ MESMO EM CINECLUBISMO, released at the 12º CINEOP - Mostra de Cinema de Ouro Preto-MG, and presented at the Cinemateca Capitólio, in Porto Alegre-RS. He is the Producer of MOSTRA CURTAMETRALHA - CINEMA E AÇÃO, a film festival project contemplated in the BH nas Telas fund and which will have its first edition in 2022. He is one of the curators of the streaming platform CARDUME, specialized in brazilian short films. He is the producer and curator of the MOCAMBO FILM CLUB, contemplated in the BH nas Telas fund 2020.

He was an LGBTQIA+ Counselor for the Civil Society of Contagem-MG, and the Executive Coordinator of the UNA-Se Contra a LGBTfobia extension project. 

 He is a memmer of APAN (Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals), of API (Association of Independent Producers) and ATCIMG (Association of Independent Cinema Workers of Minas Gerais), and Director of Equality and Inclusion of SINDAV-MG.

MAICK HANNDER

Director, screenwriter and cinematographer. He is graduated in Cinema and Audiovisual at Centro Universitário UNA, in Belo Horizonte.

He is developing his third short film, MOTHER OF GOLD, a project that participated in the Short Film Laboratory of the 28° Curta Cinema, in Rio de Janeiro , and in the MetroLAB, of the Metro - Festival do Cinema Universitário Brasileiro, in Curitiba. The film was contemplated at the BH nas Telas fund and it is in the pre-production phase. 

CLOSE TO MIDNIGHT, his first feature film project, received three awards during the 10th BrLab - Laboratory of Audiovisual Projects, the Vitrine Filmes Development Award, the Cesnik, Quintino & Salinas Advogados Award, and the C/as4atro Award. Tha project was also selected to the 12th Brasil CineMundi - International Coproduction Meeting.

He is an APAN (Association of Black Audiovisual Professionals) member.
